As interest in preventive health, whole-person wellness, and behavior change continues to expand, trained health and wellness coaches are needed to help individuals identify their personal health and wellness goals, build on their strengths, and develop sustainable strategies for positive behavior change. This comprehensive health coach training program provides you with the foundational knowledge and practical coaching skills needed to partner with clients using an evidence-based, client-centered approach and build a foundation for pursuing health coach certification.
Through instruction and applied coaching practice, you will learn to facilitate client-driven goal setting, action planning, accountability, and sustainable behavior change while working within the professional scope of practice for health and wellness coaches. Designed to align with the competencies established by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC)*, the course provides training in coaching structure and process, coaching relationships and communication, behavior change theories and techniques, health and wellness concepts, ethics, and professional practice.
